Raindance Film Festival Imaby By Rankin

Raindance Film Festival has unveiled a unique image for this year’s festival by renowned photographer, Rankin.  The piece picks up on the key theme of this year’s festival – seeing the world through a different lens.  Rankin’s wife, model Tuuli Shipster, serves as the subject for the striking portrait.

“We’re delighted that Rankin has provided the official image for the Raindance Film Festival.  In recent year’s Rankin own work has moved into film, with a strong focus on nurturing new talent, so we are thrilled to be working with an artist who shares the same values as Raindance,” said Elliot Grove, Festival Director and Founder of Raindance.

Raindance - Europe’s leading independent film festival - will be held in London from 28 September to 9 October.  The full programme of feature length films, shorts and docs will be announced on 6 September.

The line-up includes titles from across the genres with an emphasis on extreme filmmaking – from psychological thrillers, road movies and black comedies to erotic films and cutting edge docs and shorts.  As in previous years, the Way Out East strand will showcase the latest cult offerings from Japan, while a selection of Southeastern European films will see a new generation of filmmakers from the region bring their films t

Raindance Film Festival will run from 28 Sept – 9 Oct at the Apollo Cinema in London’s Piccadilly Circus, with the Opening Night premiere of Another Earth at Cineworld Haymarket on 28 Sept.
