Set in the hipster world of East London, this is a grittier look than you might expect at the party/work lifestyle of the noughties generation. Model Emma faints on the catwalk, not surprising given the amount of drugs she's just taken on board. Her life is a becoming a jaded mix of parties, narcotics and brief sexual encounters with men and women. Perhaps because of Emma's erratic behaviour her boyfriend's eye is starting to wander. Max, a hairdresser by day and a cross-dressing party host by night, is Emma's only confidante, and it is to him she turns with problems such as the journalist who wants to write a sensationalist biography about her life. But Max is sleeping with said journalist, and keen to turn their fling into something more serious.

This tangled web of deception, sex, lies, drugs and parties exposes the darker side of the East London lifestyle. Shot on a shoestring budget and featuring a distinctive soundtrack from the indie underground wave (featuring Bo Ningen, Feral and Bridgitte Aphrodite), Live East Die Young has a rawness about it that only highlights the story it is telling.
