Short Synopsis:

An innocent man is wrongly accused of a deadly hit and run accident. A story of guilt and responsibility in a spiral with no return.

No Return On a hot summer night in Buenos Aires, a young cyclist dies in a hit-and-run accident.  The responsible driver is frightened and drives off in shock, later lying to his parents about the now missing car. With no witnesses, and little evidence to work with, it seems like the crime will go unsolved. That is not a prospect the victim’s father will allow to happen though, and backed by huge media support, he demands that the driver be found and imprisoned. Under the public and media pressure the police accuse a young man who had merely participated in a confusing incident with the cyclist minutes before his death.
As the driver, and his family, watches on, the corrupt and twisted justice system begins the slow process of rolling over this innocent man and condemning him to a life in prison. Sometimes by chance, some by choice, the father, the driver and the innocent man will push each other, slowly, towards a path from which none of them will return.
With themes such as these it will come as no surprise that No Return is produced by the same team as the Oscar-winning The Secrets in their Eyes. This is an assured film from first-time writer/director and he brings out exceptionally strong performances from his actors. No Return continues the fine tradition of Argentinean cinema and is not one to be missed.
