Short Synopsis:

Hayao Miyazaki’s classic film follows a young girl as she builds a friendship with the wondrous creatures of the forest. It is an elegy to two ever-fading miracles: the fairytale world of childhood and the disappearing countryside. Totoro recently made an appearance in Pixar’s latest film Toy Story 3. There will be a prize draw from Bellieboo at this screening.

While their mother recovers from an illness, Satsuki and her little sister Mei get away from it all idyllic rural retreat. Far from the bustle of the city, they discover a mysterious place of spirits and magic, and the friendship of the Totoro woodland creatures.
