Steve Hope Wynne - Actor

Steve Hope Wynne continues his springboard from Tim Burton’s Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (Warner Bros) to line up protagonist roles in Trilogy screen adaptation of Andy Wilkins novels Black-Comedy/Drama. Wilkins has invited Steve Hope Wynne to collaborate on development of similarly sized city & finance-bound dark comedy television series that Wilkins has garnered for pickup. Confidentiality enshrouds these projects while in development as negotiations move on with busy US/UK based Production house. Finance TBC.

Meanwhile, Steve Hope Wynne continues Commercials & poster campaigns that he believes are of considerable creative production value. Consequently, he is receiving approaches by Directors who work in the commercials sector for specific casting of protagonist roles in ongoing feature projects. Steve seeks more projects to fill his schedule through to 2012.

September opens several major European campaigns. Recent filming in Prague on Kinder’s immense creative execution under Director Gaelle Denis, for Stink and Stillking films. Steve will act in 48 hour Film Festival Challenge in Jersey October 09. Under Director Boris Damast ( Vivaldi 2009) Steve also features as the mischievous monk in ongoing  Fasten Yoghurt (below ) shot in Vienna’s monastery heartland. These recent jobs augment Steve’s phenomenal commercials career spanning over 160 worldwide in last 15 years. Incidentally, Director Boris Damast unspools his Vivaldi feature his winter starring Joseph Fiennes (Vivaldi) and Gerard Depardieu.

Steve is confirmed key role in developing shortform ‘Cutting Corners’ with Angelica Santoro and Suzanne Bonetti and Protagonist in Untitled Adaptation of a Robert Louis Stevenson classic horror story. He is attaching for key roles in several other epic historic adventures in development cupboards.

Having been known to research and train for roles he has adapted his comic character work with more adventurous profiles as well as not being afraid to get authorised access in order to study Directors with whom he aims to work with at their office...

“It was nice to use my rowing skills with a bunch of champion and endurance rowers to move ancient boats on Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood Advemture which opened a valuable opportunity to watch him and John Matthieson DoP at work in some of the biggest water action scenes in film making history.”

Steve is developing and applying new skills to meet this avenue. He secured parachute training with the Navy  to build his self-confidence and continues training with British Army.
“For a while I enjoyed being featured as likeable buffoons yet it seems (since research, training and working the military) that I am asked to be the ‘outdoorsie bloke’ in stuff too which means horses, hearts, stern looks... and thumping good stories, but I’m used to getting bruises anyhow. It’s what I started out doing... the classic stuff. Luckily I am not afraid of hard work ... oh, and I’m reasonably fit for a thirty-five year old ...  hoho... but fencing, archery and horse-riding are still ache earners. Don’t know about the kickboxing yet though. We’ll see. It’s definitely helpful to coordinate the shot that’s wanted without draining time and money in starting from the top in onshoot training, especially for ambitions film-makers in budget squeeze.”

Steve has always given his time and energy to new & independent filmmakers. He actively seeks bitingly competitive projects that are “...gouging cliff-faces to enter and win International Film Festivals. I want to keep on being able to work in festival award entry projects and to talk about these whenever meetings in LA pop up such as this year 09”. Steve seeks roles in budget films throughout the UK and Europe to schedule work 2010 and 2011.

“I really enjoyed the Shorts Soho Films again this year. All the entries were very strong. Shamasian Brothers  ‘Romans 1220’  was of particular interest and I’m looking forward to meetings at Venice and other festivals as a run up to meetings in US for December. I really hope to bag some good roles for 2010 through to the next year so I am being a bit choosy but very negotiable at the same time. All our friendly Casting Directors please take note...”
