Vessey plays Iris, an actress who comes to the realisation that she is not
willing to die for fame. At that same moment, Lamont (Seme), stumbles into a
void between city surveillance cameras, giving him an angle on every corner
of the city in which he can watch, chat over and step in if he chooses to. The
constant surveillance of New York City streets has observed him so much doing
everyday chores, from childhood onto adulthood, that the frame lines from each
camera have become instinctual to him. Once Lamont steps out of the camera's
eyes he slips into the audience seat along with the film's viewers and narrates
as we watch Iris and friends. Liz Stauber is Mira, Iris' roommate and an actress
on constant hold. Kurt (Reedus) is a star who is ready to leave it all behind
if only the public would notice his absence. Everyone has a story to tell. All
too soon however there are so many narrators telling their story that there
is no place for Lamont and he is shoved from corner to corner, back into view,
until the camera battery dies out. This is a story about transitions without
any transition shots. It gets to the point without telling you what to think.
