A Troma-esque adventure that Lloyd Kaufman himself has said is destined to
be a cult film. A film from the creative partnership that is the Von Piglet
sisters (filmmakers Sue Corcoran and Angie Louise), the story starts with four
actors vying for the role of Jesus in a controversial new play.
The four are Rahim, a black revolutionary, Sky, a bisexual hippy, Joshua,
a Jew, and Jessie, a woman. Having all delivered a 'Sermon on the Mount' about
why he or she is the true Jesus, they are all sorely disappointed when the director
of the play plumps for himself in the lead role. The rejection leads to the
four bonding and embarking on a road trip which ends in disaster and causes
them to go on the run.
Disaster after disaster meets the four, and a web of deceit and two-timing
develops. Along the way, they encounter a whorehouse of blonde shikses; Goody
Prudence, the head of a circle of Puritan churchwomen by day and pagan feminists
by night; and Mo Jack, the only black citizen in Jackville, with his perverted
goat. OH
Von Piglet sisters Sue Corcoran and Angie Louise's 14-year partnership began
when they met in a ludicrous college production of Hair in which frat boys wore
bad wigs and no one in the cast smoked pot. Undaunted, they went on to form
a trashy rock band and then started making shorts. This is their feature debut.
