Five people from a small television company go on a bonding weekend to the
Norwegian wilderness. Only this isn't any normal team-building expedition. As
well as collecting firewood, shooting rabbits, building shacks - all the usual
activities supposed to strengthen the group spirit - they are soon to find out
that they are not the only creatures in this forest. When three of them discover
a woman's body in a pond by an abandoned campsite and decide to leave it there
and do nothing, little do they know that they have set off a dangerous chain
of events. The group starts to fall apart as paranoia, mistrust and accusations
unfold, not helped at all by Gunnar, the compulsively authoritarian leader played
by Bjorn Floberg, who likes to chop wood in the middle of the night and tie
people to trees. When the playful Per (Marco Kanic) mysteriously disappears,
his best friend Lasse (Kristoffer Joner) realises something is definitely amiss
and sets out into the dark woods. However, as outside dangers move closer and
closer, how will they survive the night? The bleak yet eerily beautiful Norwegian
forests make the perfect backdrop to this suspense- ridden thriller where evil
is lurking in the dark. ALK
