What’s Your Name 41? is a beautifully shot debut featurette from Marcel Grant uses the stunning background setting of Venice to tell the story of a reknowned artist, played superbly by Sam Clarke, who is commissioned to create a sculpture for a rich, dying client. In order to find inspiration Sam leaves London for Venice where he sets about creating his masterpiece. It is a journey of self-discovery that forces Sam to face some awkward truths and culminates in a tragic ending for everyone who becomes entangled in Sam’s inner turmoil.
The Bridge is another beautifully shot debut, this time from Richard Raymond, The Bridge tells the story of a young psychotherapist named Mary (played by the beautiful Andrea Corr) who is dismissed from her job in the wake of a patient suicide. One late night, fate allows her the opportunity to talk to a frail old man called Simon, who has himself given up on his life after losing his wife of fifty years. Strangely, Mary feels connected to this man, through her own fears and loss. She comes to realise that this might be her own chance for forgiveness, and desperately attempts to reach him in time and save his life. OH
