The first scene throws us straight into a whirlwind of friends, lies and fists. What should have been a fun party between friends, takes a turn for the worse as revelations of the past months unravel throughout the night. A humorous and colourful introduction into this intricate world of friends and family unveils an explosive yet delicate web of relationships. One incident can/will quickly topple this fragile balance, opening the floodgates to a dramatic set of events. The setting is Texas, Italy, an uninspiring town 'no longer rural, not yet urban'. In this dramatic yet humouristic portrayal of small town life, Fausto Paravidino takes us back through a reconstruction of deceits and betrayals amongst this group of friends that inevitably escalates into the disintegration of relationships and friendships.
Through its twists and turns, TEXAS never fails to keep its humour, offering us a highly caricatured and dramatic portrait of a small and relatively inactive northern Italian town.
